Expectations

Another stop on this year’s Lindemann tour, this time in Hamburg at the Barclays Arena. It was my first time at a concert in this hall, and I was curious to see how it compares to the other big venues on this tour.

I’ve seen multiple Lindemann shows this year already, so I knew exactly what to expect in terms of setlist and production. Still, every city has its own atmosphere, and I wanted to see how Hamburg would feel.

Barclays Arena in Hamburg

Arrival, Merch & Beer

The Barclays Arena is extremely well organized. Many toilets, food stands, drink stands, wide spaces, and fast movement everywhere. It felt like one of the best-prepared halls I’ve visited. Even from the very back, my seat had a perfect view and the sound was excellent.

Beer was Carlsberg, priced at 7 euros plus 3 euros pfand, and the tour cups were the usual designs. Like in Dortmund and Düsseldorf, Hamburg had the larger 0.5 L cups, while Frankfurt and Leipzig used 0.4 L ones.

Merch was identical to the previous cities, including the new Lindemann fish introduced in Düsseldorf. Still available for 20 euros.

The tour shirts cost 45 euros, pins 10 euros, keychains 15 euros.

The tour poster was again 5 euros.

Aesthetic Perfection

Aesthetic Perfection opened the evening again. I’ve seen them many times as Lindemann’s support act, but this tour is the one where I like them the most. They’re doing the same show as always, but somehow it hits better now, maybe because the arena sound enhances their electronic elements. Some songs I personally don’t like, but the overall performance was strong and the crowd reacted well.

They’re charismatic and effective as an opener, and I saw on Instagram that they came out after the concert for photos and autographs.

Till Lindemann

Like every night on this tour, Till played 18 songs, always the same set, always the same length. Everything is planned and synchronized.

The big change compared to Düsseldorf was his voice. There he sounded tired on a few songs, but in Hamburg he was fully recovered. No weak moments, no signs of strain, and the sound in the arena supported his vocals very well.

The show felt tight and energetic. While this tour relies less on heavy video content and more on stage presence, lights and the dancers, it remains very musical and atmospheric.

The dancers — Andrea and Luisa from the group The Sinderellas — did an excellent job as always.Momo on bass is a strong addition, and Brynn on keyboards delivered impressive pole-dance moments. The rest of the band performed with the same quality as in the previous shows.

My highlights once again:

  • Über das Meer, the strongest song of the tour

  • Du hast kein Herz, with brutal drumming and a lot of emotion

  • Und die Engel singen, beautiful but slightly stronger in Frankfurt

“Knebel” is still only a short fragment connected to “Über das Meer”, and “Steh auf” is not part of this tour at all.

Overall, the concert was powerful, atmospheric and extremely enjoyable.

Final Thoughts

A fantastic night in Hamburg with a very well organized venue, great sound, friendly crowd and a strong performance from the whole band.

Even after several shows on this tour, I enjoyed every moment.
