Sleipnir Grade

Sleipnir Grade is the app we use every day at Niflheim Records to grade our records in the shop.

At some point we were done with handwritten notes, cryptic abbreviations and endless copy-and-paste when listing records online. So we built the tool we always wanted for ourselves, and now we’re making it available to everyone.

Coming soon to the App Store

The fastest way to grade your records

With Sleipnir Grade you can:

  • walk through a focused step-by-step grading wizard for cover, vinyl, inners and extras (OBI, posters, booklets, box wear, etc.)

  • capture what you see quickly using simple toggles and short notes (ring wear, corner wear, seam splits, warps, label writing, etc.)

  • generate a clean, shop-ready description with one tap, in English and optionally German / Spanish, aligned with Goldmine / Discogs style

  • keep a local list of everything you’ve graded and export it as text, CSV, JSON or Markdown for your own online shop, Discogs, eBay or your inventory system

No accounts, no mandatory cloud sync, no ads – just a focused tool for people who handle real records every day.

Disclaimer

Sleipnir Grade helps you describe and grade records, but it does not replace your own judgement.

Record grading is always partly subjective and depends on your ears, your setup and your tolerance for noise and defects. The suggestions and description texts generated by the app are based on your inputs and general grading conventions (for example Goldmine / Discogs), but they are not a guarantee of a particular condition, market value or customer satisfaction.

By using the app you agree that:

  • you remain fully responsible for the final grades, prices and listings you publish in your shop or private sales

  • Niflheim Records and the developer of the app are not liable for any loss, complaint or dispute arising from the use of the app or from using the generated texts

  • references to brands such as Discogs or Goldmine are for descriptive purposes only – Sleipnir Grade is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies

Always play-test high value items yourself and follow the legal requirements in your country when selling records.

Privacy in the app

Sleipnir Grade is built to be as privacy-friendly as possible:

  • No user accounts: you do not log in to the app.

  • Local storage: your graded records and notes are stored locally on your device, not on a Niflheim server.

  • AI text formatting: when you tap “Finish & Grade”, your text inputs (for example your description of cover and vinyl condition) are sent to an external AI service in order to generate the listing text. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS).

  • No ads / tracking SDKs: we do not use advertising SDKs or tracking in the app.

You can find all details in our full Privacy Policy, section “Sleipnir Grade app”.
