Expectations
Back to Der Cult in Nuremberg, this time for Snakebite together with Fighter V.
Der Cult is the kind of venue I really like for metal nights, close, loud, and with that proper club atmosphere where you actually feel connected to the band. This show also mattered for a personal reason, it was a recommendation from my friend Nahuel, and he even came from Spain just to go to this concert with me. So yes, expectations were high.
Arrival, Merch & Beer
First thing I checked was merch, and Snakebite really delivered here.
I bought a Snakebite T-shirt with a red-on-white design for 25 euros. Honestly, it looks so good that you could wear it even if you didn’t know the band. The fit is perfect too, I wear size M and it sits exactly right, not too tight, not too loose.
They also had CDs, vinyl and patches available.
Fun detail: I already own their vinyl because Nahuel gifted it to me, and he even got it signed for me in Frankfurt. That’s the kind of souvenir that stays special.
Snakebite
Snakebite were the main reason I came, and they absolutely worked live.
They’re from the Ruhr area and play a mix of heavy metal and hard rock, catchy riffs, strong chorus moments, and a sound that feels made for smaller venues where the crowd is close.

One detail I really liked: they have a keyboard player who also sings. Most of the time she did backing vocals, but on a couple of songs she took lead vocals and it sounded great. It adds something extra, and it gives the band more texture on stage.
The crowd connection was strong too. You could tell they were genuinely having fun, and that energy spreads fast in a venue like Der Cult. It had that classic feeling of why we love smaller shows, you’re close enough to see reactions, small moments, and the band feels human, not distant.
They also threw in a cover song, and overall their own material sounded very solid live.
Fighter V
After Snakebite, Fighter V closed the night.
This didn’t feel like a classic “support band and headliner” setup. More like two bands sharing the evening, similar set lengths, similar energy, almost like friends touring together.
Performance-wise they were strong, good sound, tight playing, and no disrespect at all, but musically it’s simply not fully my style.
That said, one moment really surprised me: the drummer did a drum solo, and it was genuinely impressive. I didn’t expect to enjoy a drum solo that much, but the guy can play.
If I had to give a reference point for people who might like them, I’d say there’s a vibe somewhere in the direction of Nestor, just not as over the top.
Final Thoughts
Ticket price was 27 euros, and for a night like this, that’s more than fair.
Good venue, good atmosphere, two full sets, great merch, and Snakebite in particular made the night feel worth it. Even though Fighter V isn’t 100% my taste, the performance was solid, and the overall package worked.
Snakebite are definitely a band I’d see again.
