Expectations
First time in Uelzen, first time at this festival. I ended up here because of Lindemann. I had been following his tour plans, saw this date on the list, and realized it was the only one I could actually fit into my schedule. But when I looked closer and saw names like Doro, Megaherz, Gothminister, and Stahlmann, I thought: “Hell yeah! What a killer lineup.” Ticket bought, hotel booked in Lüneburg (not far from Uelzen), and the countdown began.
I had a few questions going in: Will Lindemann show the usual uncensored videos he plays on his solo tours? Will he include "Entre Dos Tierras" or the new singles he dropped this year?Let’s find out.
Arrival, Merch & Beer
Getting there from Lüneburg was super easy. Just a short ride on the regional train, maybe two stops, about 20 minutes total. And from Uelzen station to the venue? Around 10 minutes on foot. Couldn’t have been more convenient.
The sun was brutal that day, so cold beer was a must. Luckily, the whole area was really well organized. Big stage, lots of food and drink stands, card payment accepted, and plenty of space. I had a Front of Stage ticket and noticed there was also a VIP section right next to it.
There wasn’t any official festival merch, which would’ve been cool, but there were two tents packed with merch from nearly every band on the bill. Tons of options. I ended up buying a Lindemann festival shirt. It was only 40 euros, which surprised me since his merch is often more expensive.
The beer was Warsteiner and honestly, it was ice-cold and perfect for the crazy heat. No special festival cups—just standard ones.
Stahlmann
Stahlmann was the first band I caught since I arrived a bit late. And wow, I forgot how good they are live. I knew them from their early days and had seen them once before at M’era Luna, but I don’t really follow them closely. Still, their performance totally impressed me. Great vocals, tight show—definitely one of the highlights for me that day.

Gothminister
First off, respect to Gothminister for going full costume and makeup in that brutal heat. He was all in and clearly excited to be on stage. Honestly, I thought the band didn’t exist anymore, but turns out they’re more alive than ever. I think they even have a new album out.
There was an issue with the microphone at the beginning—his voice was barely audible—but after a few minutes the problem was fixed. The singer didn’t let it phase him at all. He kept the energy up, got the crowd involved, and showed he’s still a top-tier frontman. A really solid and entertaining set. Definitely worth seeing them live if you get the chance.

Megaherz
I’m a big Megaherz fan. Seen them live about ten times, talked to all the members at some point, and followed them for years. As always, they gave 100% and delivered exactly what fans expect. If you’re not familiar with them, their politically charged lyrics and provocative style might take some getting used to. But Lexx, the frontman, has massive charisma and knows how to own the stage. All the hits were there, especially my personal favorite: “Glas und Tränen.”A classic Megaherz performance.

Doro
The Queen of Metal. A legend. An amazing voice and such a positive presence on stage. It’s always a pleasure to see Doro live. Her smile, her energy, and her pure love for performing are contagious.
Some people around me weren’t as into it, maybe because her set had a very different tone compared to the heavier bands before her. But hey, that’s what festivals are about—variety. For me, it was one of the best parts of the day. If you know her songs, you’ll be singing along the whole time. Doro is a personality that’s worth seeing live at least once.

Lindemann
The main event. Let’s be honest, most people bought tickets because of him. This was Lindemann’s first proper European festival tour. He had played a few festivals in the Americas before, but this was stop number two on the new run—and the first one in Germany.
I wasn’t sure if he’d play the new singles he released earlier this year. But when I saw they were wearing the same outfits from the last tour, I figured those tracks would be saved for the solo tour later this year.
The show opened with “Zunge” and the setlist had some real surprises, like “Schweiss,” “Du hast kein Herz,” and the first German performance of “Entre Dos Tierras.” The show was shorter than a full solo concert, of course, but more than enough to leave everyone satisfied. The usual fish and cake props were there. The new guitarist was less active than her predecessor, but that’s totally fair—first time in Germany, and we’ll see how she grows into the role as the tour goes on.
During “Platz Eins,” he usually rides through the crowd on a chair with the keyboardist walking in front. This time, he actually walked down and through the crowd himself, which was a cool change.
And if you’re wondering whether the infamous +18 videos made it into the festival set—yes, they were shown, completely uncensored. That really surprised me. I didn’t expect a festival to allow it, but there they were.

Final Thoughts
All in all, a fantastic little festival. A lineup full of legends from my teenage years, a well-organized venue, easy travel from nearby cities, and great atmosphere. I had fun, drank cold beer, ate steak, and enjoyed some amazing performances.
If you’re anywhere near Uelzen next year, keep an eye on this festival. Definitely worth having it on your radar.
